Submissions

eucalyptus & rose accepts heartwarming and thoughtful fiction and creative non-fiction under 1000 words, as well as poetry that does not exceed 20 lines.

 

in particular, we are looking for unsent love letters, bite-size memoirs, poetry revolving around landscapes and colors, and short fiction that makes us feel fuzzy on the inside. 

Submission details

Please submit to us via email at: eucalyptusrosemag@gmail.com with "Submission: [TITLE]" as the subject line. We are unable to accept more than one submission/one piece of work at a time per person. You are welcome to resubmit a new piece of work once you have received a response. We aim to respond to submissions within 4 weeks.

Copy and paste your submission into the body of the email and include the word count (stories) or line count (poetry). Also, we would appreciate it if you would include a short biography in third-person to accompany your piece, as well as your Twitter handle if you have one.​

 

Attachments will not be opened.​

Please include a content warning at the top of your submission for anything that features death, loss, or other topics that may be considered sensitive.

Not for us

  • Hate, prejudice, and discrimination in any form are not tolerated.

  • Anything that would be considered R-rated likely isn't the right fit.

  • Work that has been previously published.

Other notes

Simultaneous submissions are welcome. Please notify us immediately if your piece is accepted elsewhere. We prefer if you do this by replying to your original submission email. 

 

Rights revert to the author upon publication. We would love it if you would credit eucalyptus & rose as the original site of publication.

At this time we are unable to pay contributors. We will, however, promote you on our Twitter account @eucalyptuslit.

By allowing us to publish accepted work, contributors grant eucalyptus & rose electronic rights and archival rights to advertise and archive published pieces on this website for as long as it exists, as well as promote pieces and contributors through our Twitter account @eucalyptuslit. By submitting to eucalyptus & rose, contributors are verifying that the submitted work is original and not in violation of any copyrights.
